Introduction to GIS and ArcGIS 10 Software

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS 10 Software & different types of geospatial data. Using U.S. Census population and other data, we will use software to view spatial and tabular data files, create thematic maps, and perform different types of spatial analysis. Workshop includes a general intro to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), an overview of geospatial data types and formats, and an intro to analysis methods, working with tables, etc. Preregistration required.
