Description
NimbleGen was built on technology developed by UW-Madison researchers Frederick Blattner, Michael Sussman, Franco Cerrina and Roland Green. The company produces high-density DNA microarrays. In June 2007, NimbleGen was purchased by Roche for more than $272 million. Rose, who joined the company as CEO in 2003, will discuss what was entailed in preparing the company to be an attractive acquisition target for Roche, one of the world's leading pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies.
