Description
The presentation will concentrate on the history of Islamic artifacts of al-Mansurah of which a sufficient and unusual material is now available. This includes the so called early Umayyad and Abbasid glazed pottery, Luster wares of Iraq and Egypt, Sgrafiatto pottery, Slip painted pottery of Iran and Central Asia, Glass and Metalwork. Attempts shall be made to highlight the significance of al-Mansurah and its archaeological finds.
