Weston Roundtable — John Francis

Does the environmental crisis surpass our ability to cope? Pollution, climate change, species loss and health problems such as asthma, obesity and nature deficit disorder require multi-faceted solutions. By walking across the U.S. and South America, Francis sought to replace despair with empowerment. He uses walking to engage students to better understand where we live through story and science. Francis asks what insights may be gained by walking through life as if engineering mattered.
