What we Know About Teams and Teamwork, and What it Means to Leadership

Virtually everyone in education today has had experiences as a member of a ‘team’, and therefore has some understanding, at least on a personal level, about what makes for effective teamwork. Unfortunately, many life lessons about teamwork are less than positive and are not helpful in our professional lives. This session will present a quick overview of the new science of high-performance teams, and allow participants to think differently about teamwork and its relationship to leadership.
