The U.S. is presently subsidizing the build-out of a third major network across Indian Country, and these are broadband Internet networks. Considering the social and political impacts of broadband Internet networks in terms of access, infrastructures and uses helps frame an understanding of how this third network will likewise change daily life in Indian Country over time.
