Matt Liebman, Wallace Chair for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University. His scientific research focuses on cropping system diversification, soil amendments and weed ecology and management. Recently, he has become involved in research examining the environmental impacts of using new crops and native perennial species for biofuel production. In 2013 he was awarded with the Sustainable Agriculture Achievement Award from Practical Farmers of Iowa.
