A native of Chile, Tinker Visiting Scholar Fracisco J. Pilotti received a Licenciatura degree in sociology (M.A.) from the University of Chile in 1972. In 1977 he completed his graduate studies in Sociology and Demography at Fordham University, New York. His fields of specialization include social policy, demography, child welfare and social management. Pilotti has published over 25 books and articles on social policy and children’s issues in Latin America, Europe and the United States.
