Friedlander, Department of Psychology, Emeritus, University of Hartford, discusses the implications of recent progress in neurocellular electrochemistry for the disorderly theaters of real life in which our individual and social narratives unfold, asking whether we can reconcile the divergent criteria of explanatory natural sciences and the interpretive sciences of human behavior.
