Drawing on his recent book Lead Wars, distinguished historian David
Rosner will discuss the controversial opinion by Maryland’s Court of
Appeals that asked whether researchers at Johns Hopkins University’s
prestigious Kennedy Krieger Institute engaged in unethical research on
108 African American children to better understand toxic exposure to lead.
Rosner is the first speaker in the Department of Medical History &
Bioethics 2013-14 Speakers Series on exploitation.
