Description
Etagami is a Japanese folk art consisting of simple drawings with a few words of greeting to send to a family member or friend. They are usually done on postcards and meant to be mailed rather than kept for display. We will use spring subjects for this class: plum tree, bamboo, insects, birds, etc. Traditional tools are writing brushes, sumi ink, gansai color blocks, and washi postcards, but non-traditional tools are acceptable.
