Reading Stories across Borders

We look at select pieces in the exhibition to unravel stories of cross-fertilization and sometimes conflict across time and space-following visible traces in designs, while looking for silences in the spaces between.

Maggie Ordon is a recent Design Studies Ph.D. graduate, specializing in the social and cultural aspects of clothing and textiles. She has worked with the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection for eight years.
