Journey through the Silk Road

The Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection is pleased to exhibit Central Asian items from the collection in conjunction with the 14th annual conference of the Central Eurasian Studies Society held on October 3-6 hosted by UW-Madison’s Center for Russia, East Europe and Central Asia (CREECA). View the display of apparel (including coats, robes, vests and hats), a variety of wall hangings, footwear and jewelry from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
