Presented by Timothy McCulloch, MD (Dept. of Surgery) and Corinne Jones, MS, CCC-SLP (Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders). High resolution manometry (HRM) of pharyngeal swallowing provides comprehensive and objective data about bolus movement and bolus clearance forces. Force and temporal characteristics are used to identify abnormality in swallow function.
