Motor speech disorders has typically been the theoretical battleground for much of the thinking in clinical aspects of adult speech production disorders, as well as thinking that attempts to match speech production and speech intelligibility deficits. The theoretical issues have profound implications for diagnosis and treatment of motor speech disorders.
