13,000 years ago, human hunters stalked mammoth and mastodon in southeastern Wisconsin. The world-famous kill sites they left behind pre-date the Clovis culture, previously thought to be the oldest human culture in the U.S. Archaeologist Dan Joyce of the Kenosha Public Museum explores the implications of Wisconsin’s surprisingly ancient kill sites on our understanding of the peopling of the Americas.
