LGBTQ In Faith Communities: There is a Place for You

This half-day workshop will feature a keynote speaker, panel discussion on homophobia, several workshops and an interfaith resource fair. The workshop will discuss how to remove barriers to building healthy spiritual communities by: 1) engaging the stories of LGBTQ youth and adults, 2) asking what it means to be open as a religious organization and 3) discuss how faith communities can create more welcoming spaces for people regardless of sexual orientation and sexual identity/expression.
