Description
Dr. Roland Rodell, of UW-Rock County, will discuss excavations at the Diamond Bluff complex in northwestern Wisconsin. This spectacular site complex sat at the heart of the diverse Red Wing trade center, which drew populations from Wisconsin, the Great Plains, and the ancient Mississippian ‘city’ of Cahokia near modern St. Louis. Join us, and learn how the resulting interplay of cultures changed life in Wisconsin forever.
