UW-SLIS Professor Ethelene Whitmire will present a book talk on "Regina Anderson Andrews, Harlem Renaissance Librarian" at Madison Public Library, Central Branch, 201 W. Mifflin St., Meeting Room 302. Andrews was the first African American to head her own branch of the New York Public Library (NYPL) and Whitmire’s new biography offers the first full-length study of Andrews’ activism and pioneering work with the NYPL.
