2D /3D Biofabrication using Laser Direct Write: Patterning Stem Cells, Microbeads, and Cell-Loaded Microcapsules

Event Details

Date
Thursday, February 12, 2015
Time
4-5 p.m.
Description
Prof. David T. Corr, Biomedical Engr., RPI. This seminar will highlight the development of Dr. Corr’s new bottom-up biofabrication technique, gelatin-based laser direct write (LDW), to “print” living cells for the creation of spatially-precise cellular cultures and co-cultures. Gelatin-based LDW is a CAD/CAM cell printing technique able to target and transfer cells to a substrate, with spatial precision, and can do so while preserving stem cell pluripotency
