Jewish Heritage Lecture Series Movie Night

This documentary reveals a history of Jewish entrepreneurs in the scrap-materials business that focuses on two Jewish-owned yards in southern Wisconsin: the Heifetz yard and the Lorman yard. The film highlights a Jewish business niche that is largely forgotten, but that for most of the 20th century was a heavily Jewish business. A question-and-answer period will follow the screening, led by the film’s producer, Jonathan Pollack, and members of the Heifetz and Lorman families.
