Description
Using techniques from cartoneras (cardboard-cover books presses in Latin America, Africa and Europe) this project will engage with Hispanic students by making low-cost books with recycled, hand-painted cardboard covers, containing stories based on traditional Latin American tales. By talking to their family and community members, the students will collect the stories, put them in writing, translate them into English and format them for publication.
