“Fantômas: Juan Gris's Cubist Capers”

Art History GradForum is pleased to announce the visit of Professor Emily Braun, a leading scholar of European modern art history. Distinguished Professor at Hunter College and the CUNY Institute and long an active curator, Professor Braun will speak on her contribution to the recent MET exhibition, Cubism: The Leonard A. Lauder Collection. Her talk entitled “Fantômas: Juan Gris's Cubist Capers” discusses a series of Gris’s collages influenced by the mysterious pulp fiction villain, Fantômas.
