Description
We often think that migrants make calculated decisions about where they chose to move – places with economic opportunities, where they have relatives or other social ties, places that offer safety from turmoil. But not all migrants chose their destinations. Captives were migrants who were forcibly transported to foreign communities to which they had no social ties and in which they generally occupied the lowest rung of the social ladder.
