Description
Bernie Goldsmith (Ernest Borgnine), a patriot and a longtime employee of the Naval Department, suddenly loses his job and his friends when the government calls him a communist sympathizer. Shaken but not broken, Bernie hires a lawyer (Ray Milland) and starts the long fight to clear his name. Based on a true story, the film won praise on its release for the excellent performances by Borgnine and Milland. (USA, 1957, 35mm, b/w, 88 min.)
