Hollywood Social Problem Films of the 1950s

Bernie Goldsmith (Ernest Borgnine), a patriot and a longtime employee of the Naval Department, suddenly loses his job and his friends when the government calls him a communist sympathizer. Shaken but not broken, Bernie hires a lawyer (Ray Milland) and starts the long fight to clear his name.
