Description
In his lecture, Kieran Williams explains why it was not possible for Václav Havel to write either a expose and satire or a general reflection kind of political play in his last play, and why Leaving (2007) needs to be understood in the context of its incomplete first draft, written shortly before the 1989 revolution that ended Communist rule and before Havel became president of Czechoslovakia.
