Description
Artists in Absentia, featuring the writing, art, music, and dramatic work of inmates from Oakhill Correctional Institution, will open at 6 p.m. on Thurs., March 3 at the Madison Public Library. The exhibition will bring this art out from the prison and into dialogue with the community. The opening reception will feature a screening of a documentary about the creation of the exhibition. “Artists in Absentia” is an initiative of the UW-based Oakhill Prison Humanities Project.
