UW Madison’s Black Music Ensemble is a student music group directed by world-renowned jazz bassist Richard Davis. The group performs the music of black artists from many time periods and styles, ranging from swing to funk and bebop to hip hop. February’s concert has a Valentine’s Day theme, and will feature songs about love, breakups, and everything in between. Bring a loved one (or a group of fellow singles!) and get close to the music in the intimacy of the Play Circle on February 25th.
