Steven Apfelbaum is owner and founder of Applied Ecological Services, one of the world's oldest and largest ecological restoration firms. He will share experiences on recent work that documents carbon storage and dynamics in plant communities — work now being automated using aerial imagery and multi-spectral scans. He will be joined by AES colleagues Jason Carlson and Fugui Wang in a presentation of project examples that lead the way to quantification and standards for documenting soil carbon.
