Description
Human communication is a neurological tour de force. Even chats between two people require the brain to deploy language, attention, memory, emotion recognition, and abstract thought— & coordinate actions of more than 60 individual muscles. This complexity is perhaps best appreciated when the brain is damaged and effortless speech and language are no longer possible. People with neurological disorders have taught us how our drive to communicate can overcome even the most profound barriers.
