Join emergency physicians Mohammed Dalwai (South Africa) and Janis Tupesis (UW-Madison) as they discuss and demonstrate the opportunities for mobile technology to improve medical care, what it takes to found a start-up, and the challenges of building mobile apps to improve care in resource-limited settings. Dalwai's experiences with Doctors Without Borders prompted him to co-found The Open Medicine Project to develop an app to ensure the most critical patients are cared for first.
