SSEC Colloquium

Venus – A Natural Planetary Laboratory

Event Details

Date
Tuesday, March 29, 2016

Description
Based on the orbital and physical properties, Venus and its thick atmosphere would appear to be simple to understand. Yet, after a half century of exploring the planet with increasingly more capable spacecraft, Venus is far from understood and remains a puzzle. With many new planets being discovered around other stars, Venus presents a scientific challenge and an example of the climate and weather that may be found on several of such bodies.
