David O’Connor, a professor of pathology who has had active collaborations in Brazil for more than a decade, will share his experiences studying the Zika virus as well as his perspective on how the threat of it compares to that of other viruses that have emerged seemingly from out of nowhere, such as HIV in the early 1980s.
