Join Global Connections Committee for a presentation on government and corruption. We will be focusing on addressing the causes and influences of corruption on societies and how people fight against corruption.Here is an overview of the speakers and their topics that they will be presenting:David Canon - overview of the data from Transparency International (country level of corruption) and ethics laws in Congress and the executive branch.Eleanor Powell - influence of campaign contributions in the United States.Howard Schweber - Legal Corruption and the Wisconsin Courts.Joseph Elder - Efforts in India to address corruption.
This event is free and open to UW-Madison students, staff, faculty, Union members and their guests.
