Description
In this talk, I will argue that the results suggesting we perceive very little from paradigms like change blindness and inattentional blindness have systematically overstated how little people actually see. Moreover, recent work using a texture synthesis algorithm enables us to explicitly quantify and characterize a "snapshot" of perceptual experience of an observer. This approach allows us to explicitly probe the amount of information observers can and cannot perceive in a single glance.
