Description
Michael Fiore, University of Wisconsin Hilldale Professor of Medicine, founded and has served as Director of the UW Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention (UW-CTRI) since 1992. Dr. Fiore has been involved in several public health efforts to develop clinical guidelines and comprehensive plans to promote tobacco cessation. In 2012, he was elected to the National Academy of Medicine and was an inaugural recipient of a National Cancer Institute Outstanding Investigator Award (R35) in 2015.
