Description
Hazelnuts are native to Northwest Wisconsin, but the wild plants tend to produce yields and nuts that are too small. With new hazelnut varieties developed by the Upper Midwest Hazelnut Development Initiative we are working to launch an industry and scale up production. Information to be presented at the meeting includes: plant material, production, economics, pest management, post-harvest processing, and marketing.
