Virtual Town Hall: Addressing Bias

Description

The Dean of Students Office; Multicultural Student Center; International Student Services; and Division of Diversity, Equity, & Educational Achievement, invite students to a virtual town hall with university leaders. Students will hear the university’s response to bias incidents, voice concerns about campus climate with the move to a virtual environment, and ask questions. Participants include Dean of Students Christina Olstad and Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Gabe Javier, along with staff from the Multicultural Student Center and Dean of Students Office.

Please know the event will be video recorded. Also, live closed captions (CC) will be available for this meeting. Please see details below.

There are three viewing options:

1.       In Zoom – Click on the CC button at the bottom of the screen and select “Show Subtitle.”  The captions will appear at the bottom of the screen. (Note: Caption size can be increased by clicking on the CC button again, selecting “Subtitle Settings” and then choosing from “Closed Caption Font Size” of Normal, Medium, or Large)

2.       In Zoom – Click on the CC button at the bottom of the screen and select “View Full Transcript.” A transcript will scroll down the right side by paragraph.

3.       Outside Zoom –Watch captions in your web browser
