The Community Altar Project will present artists’ altar submissions on an online gallery. Fifty-five people, from four countries and two continents sent in work as part of this virtual celebration. The Virtual Altar project is designed to help us build bridges between the individual and the community, life and death, sorrow and celebration. This participatory draws on the thoughtful process of creating a public altar of remembrance of people who have passed. The project is inspired by the altar
