Description
The last decade has seen enormous advances in our understanding of human evolution and have opened new windows into the past. Ancient DNA has transformed our understanding of Neandertals and other ancient groups. Spectacular fossil discoveries, including UW-Madison research in South Africa, have raised new questions about old ways of thinking. In this talk, Vilas-Borghesi Distinguished Achievement Professor John Hawks will address the new questions raised by these areas of research.
