An Exploratory Study in Dane County, WI

This study explores the preferences and decision-making behavior of African-American caregivers with children aged 12 and younger in Dane County. Interviews are supplemented by a geographic analysis of the local child care environment prior to the pandemic. This presentation will offer nuanced discussion of perceptions of caring for children, priorities for child care arrangements, and collective methods of care.
