Description
Correctly managing state in a database is critical to building reliable distributed systems. We'll investigate how Fluree (an immutable graph database) decomposes arbitrary data graphs to handle efficient queries. We'll explore the normalization process, schema enforcement, persistent immutable data structures, and caching concerns. We'll also discuss the role of immutable databases in distributed systems, including a look at event-sourcing and practical design trade-offs.
