In 2008, Matthew Goulish and Lin Hixson founded founded the Chicago-based performance company, Every house has a door, to explore project-specific works that include intercultural collaborations and convenes diverse, inter-generational project-specific teams of specialists, including emerging as well as internationally recognized artists. Drawn to historically or critically neglected subjects, Every house has a door creates performance works and performance-related projects in many media.
