Aurobindo Ghose's radical thought illuminates the utopian dimensions of early-20th-century Indian revolutionary politics. As part of the "Extremist" faction of the Indian National Congress, Aurobindo and others demanded complete independence (Purna Swaraj) over "home rule." Despite its significance, the futural orientation of Aurobindo’s vision remains underexplored. This talk maps the speculative elements of his political outlook, aligned with revolutionary actions.
