Shattered Dreams and Promises of Higher Education: How Ukrainian Youth Navigate Higher Education Despite the Odds

This talk will draw on a qualitative study conducted in Ukraine virtually during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Drawing on in-depth interviews with socio-economically disadvantaged Ukrainian youth, the study examines how university youth navigate higher education in a war-torn Ukraine and envision their future post-graduation.
