The kick-off celebration marks the formal beginning of the IT Mentoring program, acquaints the attendees with both the steering committee members and the expectations of participating in the program, and allows both time and space for matched pairs to meet and begin planning their goals for the year. The in-person format also allows participants to meet and make connections with other members of their cohort.
