Description
March 31 – April 5, Closing Reception: Friday, April 4, 5-7pm.
Karst is a silver gelatin exhibition that investigates the concept of a katabasis—a mythic descent into the subterranean underworld—as an allegory for exploration into the past and the subconscious. Through pairing documentations of the Appalachian caves she once explored with her late father with archival ephemera, the artist creates layered, textured photographs that serve as evidence of mythic spaces.
