Description
AI is everywhere. On the one hand, AI applications are improving our quality of life. On the other hand, AI is perpetuating and amplifying bias and harm for many populations. Children need to be involved at an early age in learning about how such technology works from a human-centered and sociocritical lens. Irgens will discuss her research on designing AI literacy activities with and for elementary and middle-school aged children that integrate social, ethical and ideological dimensions.
