Munazir’s dissertation explores how middle-class Muslim women in North India negotiate aspiration and Islamic ethics within a majoritarian context. Drawing on over fourteen months of ethnographic research, she examines how women reimagine futurity through qadr (divine destiny), challenging conventional narratives of social mobility.
