Description
Patrick Taylor, research scientist, NASA Langley Research Center, will explore the factors that influence the ability of a sea ice parcel to survive the Arctic summer melt season. He will introduce the concept of survivability—defined as the likelihood that a sea ice parcel survives the summer melt season—and use it to explore the processes that influence melt.
